Accord Type-R
The Integra is the smart person's choice when buying an older Type-R. Most will opt for the Civic Type-R as its the one they think of straight away. The Integra has gone through 3 different face lifts. Personally my favourite is the one pictured. Power wise it can be tricky as some are imports as well but normally they are around the 190/200bhp. Either way they have enough power to do the 0-62mph run in a little over 6 seconds. As with all fast Honda's they handle fantastically. As these are not an obvious choice it makes them rare and because of that prices of older models are climbing.
Widely regarded as one of the finest front wheel drive cars of its time the Accord never seemed to find its market in the UK as a big seller. However because of this it means prices once again are on the up. They are becoming harder and harder to find. Using a 2.2 vtec engine it pulls the car along nicely. As with all vtec engines you rev the life out of it, but it rewards you for it. Bare in mind this is a family car but it will launch you down the road at a rapid rate indeed.
